Website Upgrade - Wednesday, 30th September 2009
Every once in a while thing need an update, and our website is no exception. Version 2 has been up and running successfully for just over a year now and it is time to make some changes.

In September 2008, following the results of Wing Training Day 2008, Sergeant Mike Watling took it upon himself to completely rework the original website from scratch. Within a couple of months, the base versions of version 2 emerged into the public domain. V2 was designed to be incredibly flexible, high quality and user friendly, with the hope of imporving our squadron's PR and potentially winning the website competition at Wing Training Day 2009.
Unfortunately, the V2 website did not win the competition this year but gained a very respectable second place. This has highlighted the areas which require attention and improvement, so we have put the site back into development.
The new website may not follow the same design features as V1 and V2 as they will be built by a new webmaster. CI Cameron has taken over from Sergeant Watling in the designing, maintaining and development of the 1244 Squadron website. Our new webmaster has a much greater knowledge of web technologies and can easily impliment them into a much more modern and easy to maintain website.
The Version 3 of our website is still under development and will not be shown until it is officially released. .
In the time that remains before V3 is released, a minimal version of the current website. Keeping with the bare minimum of pages. You will still have access to the calendar page, contact us page and a list of changes to the V2 website.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and if you require specific information from our old website, feel free to contact the webmaster.
